Legal Separation vs Divorce – What is the Difference?

The only difference between legal separation and divorce is that in a legal separation, the marriage relationship is not terminated. The courts still deal with custody, child and spousal support, property division, responsibility for payment of debt and all the other issues they resolve in a divorce.
